WICHITA, KS – Joe Claeys has won election to the Kansas State Senate in District 27, which covers west Wichita and Maize, securing the seat with 61% of the vote in Tuesday’s general election.

“I am deeply grateful to the voters of District 27 for placing their trust in me,” said Claeys. “This strong mandate reflects our community’s desire for leadership that will work to keep Kansas great. I look forward to serving all constituents of our district and working to make Kansas an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Throughout his campaign, Claeys earned support from a broad coalition of organizations representing key sectors of the Kansas economy and community, including the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Kansas Farm Bureau, National Federation of Independent Business, and the Wichita Regional Chamber PAC. He also received endorsements from the Kansas State Fraternal Order of Police, Kansas State Rifle Association, Kansans for Life, and Kansas Family Voice.

“The diverse support we received during this campaign reflects our commitment to addressing the varied needs of our district,” Claeys added. “From supporting small businesses and agriculture to ensuring public safety and protecting family values, I am committed to representing all constituents and working collaboratively to address the challenges facing our state.”

Claeys will be sworn in as State Senator in January 2025. His priorities include promoting economic growth, supporting law enforcement, protecting constitutional rights, and ensuring Kansas remains competitive in attracting and retaining businesses and jobs.
